GRAMSH

This week has flown by - the weather is getting better and teachers and students can barely make it through lessons. We all want to be outside. The big events of the week are some concerts going on at the Pallati i Kultures. On Tuesday there was a memorial concert for a local artist who died recently, it would have been his 65th birthday, so there was a special concert in his honor. It was such a great concert and I loved watching the students perform so well!

Tomorrow and the next night are talent shows with some of the students from the high school. They've asked me to recite a small poem to introduce one piece of the evening - the fashion show with the top models... anyway, I'm honored to take part and I hope i don't forget my lines!

WHat else - on Friday I have to go to Elbasan for a meeting with Group 8 volunteers, to discuss working with counterparts. Then on Sunday, we have the director of Peace Corps - Gaddi Vasquez coming to tour Albania on his way to Macedonia. I'll get the chance to meet him on Sunday morning.

So I've been pretty busy, and am working on finding ways to get books and resources for some English lessons I want to do this summer, in conjunction with the new youth center in town. Additionally, I'm considering trying to get some Yoga mats donated from somewhere so I can teach a yoga class this summer...

that's it!
